Head Start Part 3

This session introduces trainees to the expectations and responsibilities of working as a foundation trainee pharmacist, with a strong emphasis on the importance of professionalism and patient safety. Participants will explore how to establish effective routines, build good habits, and uphold professional and ethical standards in a healthcare environment. The session will highlight how to identify and respond to risks in practice, and how to embed a patient-centred, safety-first mindset from the outset of the training year.

Apply tools and techniques to reduce medication errors related to prescribing, supply, and administration.

Respond appropriately to complaints, incidents, or errors and take steps to prevent recurrence.

Act with openness and integrity when things go wrong and raise concerns even in difficult situations.
