Medicines use reviews (MURs) aim to make the best use of the skills of pharmacists and to provide patients with access to pharmacists’ expertise in order to address their specific medication needs.

Pharmacists wishing to provide an MUR Service must first gain accreditation from a Higher Education Institution (HEI).  Following this, pharmacists should feel well prepared to carry out MURs.

Apart from the benefit to patients, the remuneration involved (£28) per MUR, and building your customer loyalty, MURs should bring you personal satisfaction in your role as a pharmacist.
